A Man Whom Everyone Knew
In a little town called Miamisburg, ohio,
There was this man whom everyone known,
He knew which direction to go,
As his name hits us all close to home.
All through the years,
I’ve seen him switch gears,
Bring us all great cheer,
As he shows us the new frontier.
A good soccer game never folds,
When like Beckham, u score the goals,
If u had math problems to throw,
An example of intelligence was shown.
I can remember the warm summer days,
Outside in the yard at Grandma & Grandpa’s place,
Playing the typical childhood games,
With the many ideas coming from his brain.
As a kid, he already gained insight,
Dreams of being a fireman plagued his mind,
If people on motorcycles drove by,
He couldn’t wait for his first try.
Congregations are never broken,
When the right person is chosen,
For get togethers that need hosting,
His sense of humor kept us all going.
GM, the fire Department, & Cargill,
Were places he went to make the bills,
Pickup trucks gave him a thrill,
His childhood dreams became real.
Him & his Dad made the perfect team,
On his Mom, excitement gleams,
Him & his sister played by streams,
This was a guy all could trust to take lead.
Along the road,
Came a wife & daughter of his own,
Holidays shared with family in his home,
There were many seeds now being sown..
A laid-back man who’s humble,
Has unfortunately finished his hussle,
Friendliness & outgoing heart went beyond the huddle,
Which makes this departure for many, a struggle.
He’s lived a good life on earth,
With all of his work,
The next life takes a turn,
To a place with greener turf.
The man who everyone knew
Still lives amongst us in spirit,
The man who everyone knew,
Leaves behind a trail of loyal people,
The man who everyone knew,
Is one we shall see again,
For this man everyone knew,
Who lives in our hearts forever,
Is my cousin,Matthew Cobler.
